Cookies & Tracking

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This website uses Squarespace hosting and form infrastructure. Storage and technical processing can vary between a visitor and a signed-in Squarespace account.

These pages describe this website’s hosting, publication-notification requests, contact arrangements and related choices.

On this page

  • Links you choose to follow
  • Choices and optional technologies
  • Contact and requests

Hosting, cookies, and storage

The Squarespace cookie banner is off, non-essential cookies are restricted, and the Squarespace activity log is off. Hosting, notification-form submission, access controls and abuse prevention may still use cookies or similar technologies and process technical connection information. These settings do not establish that all cookies or technical processing have stopped. Google reCAPTCHA is enabled on the notification form; Google may process technical information when it operates. See Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and Terms of Service: https://policies.google.com/terms. The separate contact form loads Cloudflare Turnstile after you choose to enable bot protection. Cloudflare processes technical connection information for that check. Accepted contact submissions store the connection IP address with the message; a separate IP-derived rate-limit key also helps prevent abuse. The privacy notice explains evidence handling and retention.

A notification request is stored by Squarespace for author review. Browser history, cache, password managers, and autofill can retain information according to your own settings. Clearing browser history does not itself withdraw a request held by the service.

Links you choose to follow

The author's Medium, IMDb, X, article, film/program, and source references are ordinary outbound links. When you open a destination, its operator controls its cookies, account processing, and choices. Those links do not themselves subscribe you to the author's publication news.

Browser tracking protection and storage controls are available through your browser settings. Those controls do not constitute a privacy request to an independent destination.

Choices and optional technologies

Browser settings offer controls for cookies, cached information, and tracking protection. A control offered by a hosting provider applies to the activity it describes; it does not necessarily change an independent linked service or erase a stored notification request.

Where consent is required for optional storage or tracking, it must be obtained before that technology runs, with an effective refusal and withdrawal route. An announcement alone does not establish consent or show that optional resources have been blocked.

Any cookie-preference control should describe its purpose and change actual behavior. Use the contact form linked below for questions about storage or tracking and for notification-withdrawal requests.
